Inspired by Clare Grant’s “Three Beautiful Things” project, I try to write up “three beautiful things” each day.

They may be big things, they may be little things; they may be sights, sounds, smells or emotions; they frequently involve animals or food or both.

Aside from Twitter, they’re the closest thing I have to a diary at the moment – but unlike many of the diaries I’ve kept, they’re positive and in the moment rather than negative and reflective. It’s a pleasure to be “forced” to concentrate on good things for a change – to notice the beauty all around me in every day things – instead of dwelling on the bad. 3BT, it’s a good thing ;)

On more practical matters, I separated my 3BT posts out from my main blog in June 2010 – they were rather overwhelming it.
